My father became ill and passed away in November of 2007, leaving just me to assist my mother after his death. Now mom was like many people in their late 70's, able to function

well and live alone. This concept of living alone has never gone away but as time passed her ability to remain independent has gone down. In this day and time when people want to stay home or have to due to the increasing expense of assisted living or nursing homes the assistance needed often falls to family and friends. HOME ALONE | EASY, FAST ... TO YOUR DOOR DELIVERY

Now there are many agencies out there to provide CNA's or sitters and a lot of people selling DME. But, try to find the little things that make life easier and you have great difficulty.

Examples? Phones that light up when they ring, they are not in stores and you need to find a strobe light that goes in line to flash or a remote control for the TV that doesn't have 100's of small buttons. They are available on the Internet but how many know how to find them. My niche and the premise of my business is to deliver anything you need here in Cabarrus County and surrounding areas for a small fee. This saving the family and friends from doing it and still allowing the client to get what they need and want.

HOME ALONE | PRODUCTS THAT MAKE LIFE EASIER

Many of the problems I have seen have come from personal experience with both my mother and my mother-in-law. Needs that have developed with not just aging but the inability to

care for themselves without a little assistance. Examples being; not hearing the phone ring, you can find strobe lights that go in line on the internet but how many 82 year old ladies surf the net, traveled to 20 stores to find a magnifying lens that covers an entire page, carry bags for walkers, the need for a wheelchair ramp. If it was not for me no one would be there to go get my mother’s prescriptions or to ensure she is not taking too much.
